People and Culture

As we look back on the year that was, our people’s skills and experience and their contributions to the business felt more significant than ever. Here are some highlights about our people and culture in 2021.

More than 100 amazing employees

We celebrated a noteworthy milestone – welcoming our 100th employee, with 29 new-hires across the business in 2021.

Our Canberra office received a modern fit out

We enhanced our office environment to accommodate our growing teams. Our goal was to create a positive work environment where our teams can feel motivated and enthusiastic about working in a space that’s designed for them.

Our remote staff held Christmas parties around Australia

Pre-COVID, Sigma Bravo’s Christmas parties normally saw all our teams travel across the country to be together in Canberra. This year we kept our celebrations local, proving that you can take the team out of the party, but you can’t take the party out of the team.

Capability

We continued our support of the Australian Defence Force. Our goal was to simplify operations of complex systems, realise mission effectiveness and promote safety.

We developed the Deployable Air Traffic Awareness (DATA) Prototype in just 3 months

As part of RAAF’s Jericho Disruptive Innovation, we leveraged our R&D on networked sensors to enhance Air Traffic Control capability with the DATA prototype.

We assisted ADF operations

Our Joint Mission Planning System software integration and support directly assisted ADF operations and exercises such as Operation Fiji Assist and Exercise Talisman Sabre.

We produced custom Geospatial products for aerospace and platform integration

We created and disseminated geospatial products to ensure that military operators were provided with the best information to make the most informed decisions.

Our Land Range Safety Management Tool helped keep our troops safe

We demonstrated our rapid development of custom solutions for Defence by successfully deploying the Australian Army’s Land Range Safety Management Tool (LRSMT v1.0) onto Defence networks.

We integrated our training packages onto Defence ADELE-P Learning Management System

We made our computer-based training products more readily available to our Defence users.

Growth

We expanded our capabilities, increased our depth and grew our teams.

We announced our Deployed ICT Program

We were delighted to announce the award of the Deployed ICT Program for the sustainment and enhancement of ADF deployable network.

We became Hanwha’s Training Partner

We were delighted to be announced as Hanwha Defence Australia’s training partner for the LAND 8116 Phase 1 Protected Mobile Fires and LAND 400 Phase 3 Infantry Fighting Vehicle programs.

We began working as part of the Electro-Magnetic Battlefield Management (EMBM) Program

We built upon our GIST Team experience supporting the Growler program and development of training for Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations Planning to join the EMBM team, led by Consunet.
