The Role

The Software Developer is responsible to the MPS Network Operations Manager to provide technical support for the secure MPS supported by Sigma Bravo.

Due to the nature of Sigma Bravo’s work, all applicants must have the ability to obtain a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance (usually only granted to Australian Citizens).

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in network administration / IT systems
  • 1-5 years Information Technology experience
  • Microsoft Visual Studio 2015, including programming in C# and JavaScript
  • Object Oriented Programming
  • Software testing, including unit testing
  • Advanced Office Computing Application knowledge in Win7, Excel, Word, Access & XML
  • SQL, UML
  • ASP.NET
  • SQL Server 2014

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the review of systems and software change proposals and business analysis activities;
  • Assist with technical and architectural assessments of the impact of system changes;
  • Assist with development planning and prioritisation activities, including contributing to the maintenance of the system development schedule;
  • Assist with task decomposition and project planning and the estimation of work effort and associated costings;
  • Perform development tasks in accordance with Sigma Bravo Standard Operating Procedures and otherwise as directed by the Tech Lead;
  • Assist with system testing as part of the development process, including performance of usability and unit testing;
  • Assist as required with quality assurance, verification and validation, release management and systems documentation processes;
  • Adhere to procedures for the storage, management and release of Software Source-code;
  • Participate positively in software development review and process improvement activities;
  • Represent Sigma Bravo in a professional manner and adhere to Sigma Bravo policies and practices as outlined in the Business Management System and Security documentation; and
  • Assist with other tasks directed by Sigma Bravo management.
