Field Service Representative – Mission Planning System (MPS)

The Company

Sigma Bravo uniquely couple’s aviation mission planning environments, operational and engineering support, training, agile software development, and systems implementation to enhance current Defence capabilities while designing the future military Mission Planning Environments.

The Role

This role will work closely with: SQN Aircrew and Groundcrew, Base Intelligence Units and other Base personnel.

Candidates will be required to hold and maintain an active NV1 clearance and only candidates currently holding such a clearance should apply.

In this position you will have responsibility of:

• Providing Mission Planning Systems (MPS) operational support services;
• Managing and coordinating support requests from users in relation to the use of the system;
• Assisting in pre-deployment system configuration;
• Develop and maintain Mission Planning System forms for operating platforms;
• Provide specialist technical advice in relation to hardware and software solutions for operational issues;
• Identify issues associated with the operational use of the Mission Planning System;
• Provide on-site assistance to users to resolve operational queries;
• Provide specialist advice to acquisition projects for Mission Planning System;
• Distribution and management of aviation data;
• Maintain knowledge of Allied Force Deployments; and
• Perform other Mission Planning Support tasking as directed.

As the ideal candidate, you will bring:

• Demonstrated knowledge of Military Operations and Procedures;
• Demonstrated knowledge of specialised area of aviation relevant to the support region;
• Advanced Office Computing Application knowledge in Win 10, Excel, Word, Access & XML; and
• Demonstrated knowledge of ADF Aviation MPS (JMPS) and applicable software elements

Desirable Skills and Knowledge:

• In-depth knowledge of JMPS/XPLAN.
• Knowledge of ADF Command and Support systems.
