The Role

We are currently seeking a Commercial Manager to deliver and execute on a new and innovative approach to multi-partner collaborative ICT service delivery, proposed to commence late January early February 2021.

This is a hybrid role focusing on broad range of commercial functions such as relationship, contract, subcontract, risk and Australian Industry Capability.

The role is located in Canberra, at the Sigma Bravo, Phillip Office. However, for the right candidate the alternate location of Garden Island, Potts Point Sydney can be considered.

Responsibilities include

  • Assist the Program Manager and Service Delivery Managers to deliver plan, advise and support on all commercial and contractual issues
  • Ensure contracts are managed in accordance with company procedures and liaise with customers on all contractual matters
  • Support the Supply Chain and Procurement team with engagement of Australian industry to delivery contract objectives – including reviewing AIC program (Indigenous, veteran, commercialization, global supply chain) and subcontracts to ensure consistency with overall objectives
  • Assist service delivery managers in maintaining relationships with external customers, partners and subcontractors
  • Participate in business and contract reviews and provide commercial and relationship support for improvements in operational, service or financial performance
  • Liaise with the suppliers/sub-contractors in the delivery of Services as required

Responsibilities include

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law or equivalent discipline (desired, not essential)
  • Knowledge and experience with ASDEFCON and commercial management within the Department of Defence will be highly regarded Experience in policies, procedures and work instructions development under ISO9001
  • Experience in scenario analysis, risk management and contingency planning Understanding of the administration and management of Australian and New Zealand contract law
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and confidently engage with senior stakeholders

The ideal candidate will bring a high level of commercial management expertise and a strong understanding of how to operate within a business partnering model

Other Desired Skills

Due to the nature of Sigma Bravo’s work, all applicants must have the ability to obtain a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance (usually only granted to Australian Citizens).
