The Role

As the Business Improvement Officer your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the SB Process Owners by ensuring documentation is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the relevant standards.
  • Reporting to the Business Improvement Manager on the performance of the business management processes – conducting Internal Audits and developing reports as necessary.

Assisting the Business Improvement Manager with:

  • Ensuring that quality policies and quality objectives are established for the BMIS and are compatible with the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Ensuring the quality policy is understood and followed within the organisation.
  • Communicating the importance of effective quality management and of conforming to the BMIS requirements and the requirements of goods and services.
  • Engaging, directing and supporting persons to contribute to the effectiveness of the BMIS.
  • Promoting improvement and innovation.
  • Conducting Internal Audits.
  • Attending External Audits where required.
  • Raising and assisting with closing Corrective Action Requests (CARs) – maintaining the CAR Register.
  • Maintaining the BMIS on Bonafide.
  • Conducting Induction Training for new employees on the BMIS
  • Attending Annual Management Review Meetings as requested.
  • Developing Quality Plans and documentation as required for new projects, programs etc.

Due to the nature of Sigma Bravo's work, all applicants must have the ability to obtain a minimum of a Baseline Clearance (usually only granted to Australian Citizens).

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills/experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Quality Management, Business or suitable equivalent (essential)
  • Developing a Quality Management System, Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the Quality Standard 9001 (desirable)
  • Experience implementing Quality Management Systems in projects and small to medium businesses (desirable)
